VertoCV is built on a simple principle: your data is yours, and yours alone. We designed this application so that your personal information never leaves your device. This privacy policy explains how that works.

1. Data We Collect

None. VertoCV does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on any server. There is no account system, no sign-up, no email collection, and no analytics tracking.

2. Where Your Data Is Stored

All resume data you enter is stored exclusively in your browser's built-in storage (IndexedDB, with a localStorage fallback if IndexedDB is unavailable). This means:

• Your data never leaves your device
• No data is sent to any server or third party
• Clearing your browser data will permanently delete your resumes
• Your data is only accessible from the browser and device where you created it

3. Cookies

VertoCV does not use cookies — not for authentication, not for analytics, not for advertising. Zero cookies. The application uses browser-native storage (IndexedDB or localStorage) for data persistence.

4. Third-Party Services

VertoCV does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any similar tools. The application loads Google Fonts for typography, which is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

5. PDF Export

PDF generation happens entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. Your resume content is not sent to any server during the export process.

6. Data Import & Export

When you import or export resume data (JSON or Markdown), the files are read and written directly on your device. No data passes through our servers because there are no servers to pass through.

7. Deleting Your Data

Since all data lives in your browser, you have complete control:

• Delete individual resumes using the delete button on the dashboard
• Delete all data by clearing your browser's site data for this domain
• Nothing to request — there is no server-side data to delete because we never had it

8. Children's Privacy

VertoCV does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Since no personal data is transmitted to us, there is no age-related data to manage.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change how data is handled, we will update this page with a new revision date. Given our architecture, the core promise — your data stays on your device — is unlikely to change.
